Instinct announces $1 billion Series C at a $10 billion valuation
Instinct announced a $1 billion Series C with participation from Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital and Coatue. The company says the funding raised its valuation to $10 billion, about a month after a round that had valued the startup at $2.5 billion. The Information had reported on the fundraising earlier, TechCrunch said.
Launched in August 2026 as an invite-only service, Instinct offers an agent that can make purchases, pay bills, cancel subscriptions, book travel and restaurants, and conduct research. The startup has also added a feature for making phone calls and a trusted-person network, but faces questions about the amount of personal data it requires and competition from Meta’s Muse. Instinct communicates through SMS, does not yet have a mobile app, and has not disclosed user numbers or growth metrics.
Why it matters · editorial interpretation
The round rapidly raises Instinct’s valuation, but the company has not disclosed user numbers or growth metrics. Assessing the business will also depend on how its personal-data requirements and competition from Meta’s Muse affect adoption of the agent.
