Meta launches enterprise AI platform and hires MongoDB CEO
Meta announced Meta Enterprise Platform, an initiative aimed at expanding its artificial intelligence offering to businesses and corporate customers. The company says it will bring its technology stack to businesses and developers, including Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code. The project will be led by Chirantan “CJ” Desai, whom Meta hired after he left his role as MongoDB CEO.
Meta says the platform will turn its AI models and agents into products and services that companies can deploy in their operations. According to TechCrunch, MongoDB shares fell more than 17% after Desai’s departure. The company appointed Dev Ittycheria as interim CEO while it searches for a permanent replacement.
