Cloudflare says it is using AI to plan post-quantum migration by 2029

Cloudflare is developing CryptoLabe, an internal AI-powered tool to discover where cryptography is used across its codebase, identify dependencies and track progress toward post-quantum migration. The company says it aims to achieve full post-quantum readiness by 2029; many products already use post-quantum encryption over TLS 1.3, but work remains on authentication and on other connections and uses of public-key encryption.

Cloudflare says CryptoLabe should also help teams understand how to upgrade systems, measure classical and post-quantum cryptography use by repository and product, and identify protocols, libraries or standards that lack a defined migration path. The tool is specialized for the company’s internal systems, is still evolving and will not be made available to customers.
